Elephant Safari in Kaziranga National Park

Elephant SafariIn the northeastern state of Assam, lies the Kaziranga National Park. The park is spread over an area of 37,822 hectares of green vegetation. The tall elephant grasses of the park make it an ideal habitat for the Indian one-horned Rhinos. Besides this huge creature the park is also inhabited by a number of animals such as: Indian Elephants, Tigers, Indian Bison, Leopard Cats, Langurs and Pythons. Apart from having a closer look at the favourite animals of your choice you can also go on a ride of adventure by climbing on an elephant's back and enjoy the wilderness of Kaziranga. No doubt that Elephant Safari can be the best way to discover hidden mysteries of wildlife.

Elephant safari covers Baguri, Hole Path, Mihimukh, Kohora-Central Path and Arimarah. The wide area covered by the elephant grass can be viewed very well on elephant's back. It is usually suggested for those who travel on elephant's back to cover their legs fully by wearing trousers to avoid abrasions from the coarse elephant grass.

Best Season For Elephant Safari
The best time to visit the Kaziranga National Park is from mid-November to early April. The low-lying grasslands of the park get flooded with the waters of Brahmaputra River in the monsoons.
