In the southern west part of Sikkim lies the main Himalayan range of Kanchenjunga which is at an altitude of 8,585 m or 28,169 ft above the sea level. Other famous peaks in Sikkim are Kirat Chulior Tent Peak, Kabru and Sinolchu.

Ideal Period for Mountaineering in Sikkim
The most ideal period to undertake mountaineering in Sikkim is between May and October. During this time the weather in Sikkim remains very pleasant and there are also less chances of slipping as the precipitation level is maintained to minimum.

Peaks between 7,501 to 8,000 mtrs. US$ 7,000.
Peaks between 7,001 to 7,500 mtrs. US$ 6,000.
Peaks between 6,501 to 7,000 mtrs. US$ 5,500.
Peaks below 6,500 mtrs. US$ 5,000.
