Trekking & its requisite
Trekking becomes a rewarding experience especially when it is carried out
in Ladakh. For trekking it is very essential that one remains absolutely
physically fit. The intending trekkers must be ready to face the rigors to
back country travel. There is also a great fluctuations in the day and night
temperatures of the place. The days in Ladakh usually remains warm due to
the barren landscapes and the nights are generally chilly requiring a bit of
additional clothing. Therefore it is very much suggested that all th
intended trekkers carry warm clothes with them in order to avoid any ill
health related issues. A pair of walking shoes with strong rubber soles for
grip and a good sleeping bed . Try carrying a water proof tent along with
you.
Additional Requirements
Additional requirements could include: balclava, woolen undergarments, wind
parkas, etc. Toiletries and first-aid kits should include lip salve,
moisturizers and suncream, water purifying tablets, medicines for high
altitude sickness, etc. A good quality water canteen is must to carry the
drinking water so essential during high altitude trekking in arid
conditions. Do not forget to carry a flashlight with sufficient spare
batteries, a sun-hat and a pair of good quality sunglasses with sufficient
filter-factor to check the sun's brightness and ultraviolet rays.
