The captivating hill station of Patnitop is located on the Jammu
Srinagar highway. The hill station is enveloped by thickly wooded forests
that offers breathtaking views of the majestic mountains of the land. In the
winters the resort has its own show as the entire surrounding gets thickly
carpeted with cotton like snow. It is a 20th century hill station, which is
very new as compared to the others which are centuries old.

The Nag (cobra) temple : The 6th century Nag Temple is the
pride of Patnitop. The temple is small in size and truly reflects the faith
that millions of people has on it. The evenings in Patnitop are quite cold.
The mountains are covered by fog and visibility can drop to a mere 10 feet.
The small bazaar that has sprung up around it offers some cherry like dried
fruits that double up as prasad as well as mementos.
Chinar Garden, Picnic Spot and Skating Garden and three fresh garden
springs are certain other sights that are worth visiting.
