Day 1 : Arrive Chennai
Arrival in Chennai. Our travel manager receives you warmly at the airport and escorts you to the hotel for check in. Your guide takes you out on a sightseeing trip of Chennai covering sites like Fort St. George, St. Mary's Church, St. Thomas Cathedral etc. Drive along the Marina Beach and take a stroll through the bustling marketplaces. Later, the travel guide accompanies you to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2 : Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram
After breakfast in the morning, we head to Mahabalipuram via Kanchipuram, the 'City of Thousand Temples'. Infused with history, Kanchipuram has many places of worship that are worth visiting. We then resume our journey to Mahabalipuram renowned for seven monolithic temples. What's more interesting about the temples is the fact that each of them has been carved out of a single granite boulder. Arjuna's Penance is a huge frieze carved on a flat granite rock face. An overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel.
Day 3 : Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry
This morning after breakfast, we drive off to Pondicherry which is 90 km/ 2 hrs from here. The former French colony of Pondicherry still exude the previous influence. The travel guide takes you on a sightseeing tour of Pondicherry. Visit the Auroboindo Ashram that was established in the 20th century by Aurobindo Ghosh, a Bengali philospher. An afternoon visit to Auroville is also ahead to get you relaxed on the beach. Overnight at the resort.

Day 4 : Pondicherry - Trichy - Tanjore
We undertake a morning drive to Tanjore which is 190 km/ 5 hours. We halt en route to visit the Rock Fort Temple at Trichy. We then resume our journey to Tanjore. On arrival, the travel guide escorts you to the hotel for check in. In the afternoon, you enjoy a trip around this ancient city visiting a number of ancient temples. The Brihadeswara Temple, however, is the cynosure of all eyes. A nightlong stay is scheduled at the hotel.

Day 5 : Tanjore - Madurai
Today, we take you to Madurai, an important pilgrimage site for the Hindus. After check in at the hotel, the travel guide accompanies you on a sightseeing trip of Madurai. You get to visit the very celebrated Meenakshi Temple that ropes in hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from across the country. The gopurams (Pyramidal gateway towers) of the temple are worth seeing. The towers are covered with numerous images of mystical figures, animals and gods. A visit to the Thirumalinayak Palace and the Gandhi Museum also awaits you. Stay overnight in Madurai.
Day 6 : Madurai - Periyar
This morning, after breakfast, we drive to Periyar (Thekkady). The drive is both scenic and exciting. Periyar has gained worldwide fame due to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary that lies here nestled amid wonderful landscape. Start on a boat safari along the Periyar Lake to witness a whole lot of pristine flora and fauna. The travel guide also takes you to vast tea gardens that make an interesting sight for the onloookers. Your overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel in Periyar.

Day 7 : Periyar - Kumarakom
Toaday, we head (by surface) to Kumarakom, one of the most enchanting backwaters of Kerala. Driving through wonderful backwaters and vast plantations is an experience in itself. Visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary which is a major attraction here. Watch migratory birds like the Siberian stork, heron, teal, darter etc. The sleepy little village of Kumarakom is far away from the haphazardness and noise of cities. We also arrange for you Theme evenings where you enjoy popular art form like Kathakali and Mohiniyattam. Overnight at the resort.

Day 8 : Kuamarkom - Alleppey - Cochin
Our travel guide takes you to Cochin, visiting Alleppey en route. Alleppey or Alappuzha is a major backwater destination for tourists. Further, move on to Cochin, the ancient port city. The boat trip to Cochin is both relaxing and fascinating. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 : Cochin - Ooty
Embark on a morning sightseeing trip of Cochin visiting sites like Fort Kochi, the Mattancherry Palace, Jew Town, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica etc. Your nightlong stay is scheduled at the hotel. In the evening, we undertake a drive to Ooty. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 : Ooty
Today, you spend the whole day at Ooty (7,349 ft asl) in the Nilgiris. An erstwhile summer refuge of the Government of Madras, Ooty today throbs with beautiful orchards, forested valleys and snow-laden makes. Visit scenic sites like the Ooty Lake, Doddabetta Peak, Botanical Gardens, St. Stephens Church, Rose Garden and the Government Museum. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 : Ooty - Mysore
Morning is free to spend time at leisure. In the afternoon, we drive to Mysore. On arrival, the travel manager escorts you to the hotel for check in. Evening is free to relax or we can take you on a leisurely stroll through the local market. A nightlong stay at the hotel.

Day 12 : Mysore
After a relaxed breakfast, your guide takes you out on a sightseeing trip of the city of Mysore. Visit the Mysore Palace which is the largest in the city. The palace is a scene to behold during the Dusshera Festival when it's illuminated on a massive scale. We also take you to the much popular Zoological Gardens and the Chamundi Temple. The Brindavan Gardens is a favourite of tourists arriving here. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13 : Mysore - Bangalore
In the morning, we proceed to Bangalore, the Garden City of India. Enjoy an excursion to the Cubbon Park that was set up in the year 1864, taking up 300 acres of verdant land in the heart of the city. Visit such famous attractions as Tipu's Palace, Government Museum and the Venkatappa Art Gallery. We also take you to the Lal Bagh Gardens that was established by Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan in the 18th century. View the Vidhan Sudha, High Court and the Bull Temple as you drive past.

The tour concludes and the company's representative ensures your timely transfer to the airport in the evening for your onward journey.
