Built by the Mughal emperor Shahjehan, it took 20, 000 workers and 22 years to build. The Red Fort of Agra built on the banks of Yamuna is quite an imposing structure. Within the premises of Agra Red Fort lies the Pearl Mosque which is gorgeous to say the least and many other beautiful creations by Mughal emperors such as palaces including the Jahangiri Mahal, Diwan-i-Am, Moti Masjid and Diwan-i-Khas. In the afternoon, we go to the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri which is 40 km away from Agra. It was built in the later part of 16th century and was the capital of Mughal empire for only 10 years. The complex houses several monuments and memorials and what strikes you here is the uniform architectural style with which all of these have been built. Our overnight stay has been scheduled at Agra itself. Day 04 Agra/ Jaipur After the morning breakfast we'll reach the railway station to board train for Jaipur. The journey is expected to take approximately 7 hrs. After reaching Jaipur we'll check into the hotel, have our lunch and now we are well set on our target ... Jaipur.
