Day 1 : Arrive New Delhi
Arrive
at Delhi's IGI Airport to be received by the company's representative.
The travel assistant accompanies you to the hotel for check in and a
traditional welcome at the hotel. Your dinner and overnight stay are
scheduled at the hotel. Day 2 : New Delhi After a relaxed breakfast in the morning, your travel guide takes you out on a sightseeing trip of Old and New Delhi. Pay a visit to such world renowned sites as the Red Fort and the Jama Masjid built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. The guide also takes you on a stroll through the Chandni Chowk market area. Also get to the Raj Ghat, Mahatama Gandhi's burial site. The Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub Minar, the India Gate, the Lotus Temple and the Lakshmi Narayan Temple are other attractions to be seen. Return to the hotel for dinner and a nightlong stay. Day 3 : Jaipur Today, we leave for Jaipur (260 km/ 6 hours), the 'Pink City' of India. On reaching this colourful city, the travel representative escorts you to the hotel for check in. Dinner and overnight stay are scheduled at the hotel. Day 4 : Jaipur We have devoted this full day to sightseeing in Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan. Make a trip to the Amber Fort and enjoy a royal elephant ride at the imposing fort. Later, the travel assistant guides you to visit the City Palace and the Hawa Mahal that was erected for the royal ladies who wished to watch the processions in the streets below without being noticed themselves by the prying eyes. A visit to the Jantar Mantar Observatory is also in store. Cultural performances can also be enjoyed. Return to the hotel for your dinner and a nightlong stay. Day 5 : Agra After an early breakfast in the morning, the travel guide accompanies you on a drive to Agra (230 km/ 5 hours), visiting the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri en route. Get to see the Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid and the Tomb of Shaikh Salim Chishti. Later, resume your journey to Agra. On reaching the city, your guide assists you to the hotel for check in and overnight stay. Day 6 : Agra After
an early morning breakfast, our representative takes you to visit the
chimerical Taj - a dream in white. Feast your eyes upon the stunning
sight of the Taj Mahal as it glistens in the morning rays of the sun.
Spend some quality time exploring the grandiose edifice. Later, visit
the Agra Fort and Sikandara where the Mughal emperor Akbar lies buried.
Shop favourite souvenirs. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight
stay. Day 7 : Khajuraho After an early morning breakfast, the travel assistant transfers you to the airport to board the flight for Kahjuraho, a World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, your guides escorts you to the hotel for check in. Rest of the day is to be spent at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay are organised at the hotel. Day 8 : Khajuraho - Varanasi Have a relaxed breakfast and enjoy some time at leisure. In the afternoon, the company's representative transfers you to the airport for your flight to Varanasi. Make an excursion to Sarnath the place where Lord Buddha made his first sermon. Visit the Deer Park and the Bodhi Tree. Return to Varanasi to see the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Banaras Hindu University, the largest residential university of the country. Get back to the hotel for check in and an overnight stay. Day 9 : Varanasi - Kathmandu Enjoy a dawn boat ride along River Ganges to watch the ablutions and rituals performed by the devotees at the ghats. The ride begins at the Dashwamedh Ghat and ends at the Manikarna Ghat. Visit the Durga Temple also popular as the Monkey Temple. Later, the travel guide transfers you to the airport for your flight to Kathmandu in Nepal. Get to the hotel for check in and an overnight stay. Day10 : Kathmandu After breakfast in the morning, your guide takes you out to see the Pashupatinath Temple that lies on the banks of River Baghmati. Guheswari Temple is another popular temple here. Boudhnath, one of the largest stupas in the world, is a mjor attraction for tourists. Get back to the hotel to relax and have lunch. Early evening, the travel representative takes you to Patan that is home to the Darbar Square along with many stupas, shikaras and temples. A visit to Bhaktapur is also in store. Get back to the hotel for dinner and a nightlong stay. Day11 : Kathmandu - Pokhra Today, we head towards Pokhra (200 km/ 4 hours). On arrival, the travel assistant takes you to the hotel for check in. Rest of the day is to be spent at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel. Day12 : Pokhra After
a relaxed breakfast, start on a sightseeing trip of Pokhra that is the
base for adventure sports here. The city lies nestled in a valley
serving as the starting point for a number of rafting and trekking
expeditions. Enjoy the sights at the Phewa Lake. Other attraction to be
visited include Binde Basini Temple, Mahindra Caves and Seti George.
Stay overnight at the hotel. Day13 : Pokhra - Kathmandu The tour concludes and after breakfast the travel manager ensures your timely transfer to the airport at Kathmandu for your onward journey. |
