Day - 1 : Arrival in Delhi The
guests arrive in Delhi and are warmly received by the reception team.
Later the guests are transfered to hotel to relax and get prepared for
the days ahead.Day - 2 : Delhi - Mandawa You start off your tour by visiting Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana - the resting place of Father of the Nation and the first Prime Minister of India, Jama Masjid, Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Later you'll get to see the imposing Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch), Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. You'll also drive past President's House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place shopping centre. Thereafter we set off for Mandawa where our overnight stay is also scheduled. Day - 3 : Mandawa - Bikaner This day is exclusively for touring the open art exhibition of Rajasthan, a pseudonym for Mandawa. Mandawa houses a collection of armories, costumes of ancestors, canons from 1820, ancient coins, numismatic collection and many other interesting items preserved in a museum. The whole area of Shekhavati has beautiful frescoes, havelis and mansions and that's the reason why it is called the 'Open Art Gallery'. After completing our Mandawa tour we drive off to Bikaner where we'll stay overnight. Day - 4 : Bikaner - Jaisalmer The next destination of our itinerary is this desert city, Bikaner. The city is encompassed by overwhelming walls which have old palaces, temples and a mosque in the city. An enormous arched doorway leads to the Joramal Temple. Har Mandir is the grand structure where royal ceremonies like weddings were once celebrated. Now we drive off from the place as our next stopover is Jaisalmer where our overnight stay is also scheduled. Day - 5 : Jaisalmer This day is exclusively for the city of Jaisalmer. You are visiting a thriving community city offering the most sought after tourism attractions for example the fort, bazaars and the old mansions known as "havelis". People still live in these ancient buildings built during 12th to 15th century. Every house has exquisite carvings and filigree work. During the day, you visit a gigantic sand castle look alike - The Jaisalmer Fort. It is built over the Trikuta Hill and it is more than 800 years old. You also visit Gadsisar Tank, Manak Chowk and Nathmalji ki Haveli among other places. You'll marvel at the condition in which these monuments have been preserved. It's like keeping your own history alive ... and in good health. Day - 6 : Jaisalmer Jodhpur We drive off to Jodhpur in the morning itself. Situated right at the edge of Thar desert. We can rather say that it opens up the wonderworld of Thar to us. A high stone wall surrounds the city whereas inside there is a fort standing atop sandstone hills. Our next stopover is the Umaid Bhavan Palace which is one of the most well planned palaces of India and Mehrangarh Fort, Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. Now your tour guide will take you to Jaswant Thada, a huge marble structure and a museum in Umaid Public Gardens. Our overnight stay is scheduled at Jodhpur itself. Day - 7: Jodhpur Udaipur We
drive off to Udaipur in the morning. Now we are ready to traverse the
gorgeous landscape of Udaipur. The City Palace, Jagdish Temple, a drive
around Fatehsagar Lake, Sahelion ki Bari (Queen's resort for her
friends) and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (Folk art museum) are some of the
other attractions of the city of Udaipur. Overnight stay is sceduled at
Udaipur itself.
Day - 8 : UdaipurRecharge your batteries as you get a much needed break from the whirlwind excursion that you are having. Day - 9 : Udaipur - Kota Now we undertake a morning drive to Kota. Located on the eastern bank of Chambal River, it is a part of Malwa Plateau and is celebrated for its palaces and gardens. The destinations that we'll cover are the city fort and palace and the museum within, Kishore Sagar Tank and Jagmandir Palace which is built on a small island in the midst of Kishore Sagar Tank. The other tourist spots that we'll cover are Brij Vilas Palace Museum, the Chambar Gardens and the Chhattar Bilas Gardens. We'll stay at Kota itself in the night. Day - 10 : Kota-Bundi-Pushkar We start for Bundi which is 36 km from Kota. Bundi is a tiny picturesque town blessed with a rich heritage. Once a part of Kota, Bundi is surrounded by the Aravalli Hills on the three sides and is encircled by a massive wall. Significant tourist attractions of Bundi include Taragarh, Chatrasagar and Sukhmahal. Now we head towards the holy city of Pushkar. Here we get to see many sacred temples for example - the only Brahma Temple in India, the Savitri Temple, Mahadev Temple, Varah Temple, Ramavaikunth Temple, Rangji Temple and the Apteshwar Temple. We also visit the Pushkar Lake, the landmark of this place as the city is named after it. Our overnight stay is scheduled in Pushkar. Day - 11 : Pushkar-Jaipur We drive off to Jaipur in the morning. Jaipur is also widely known as Pink City as the city was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting prince. Jaipur was built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, approximately 260 years ago. We take you to some of the important attractions of the city such as Maharaja's City Palace, the Observatory, Ram Niwas Gardens, Hawa Mahal and through the pink rose residential and business areas. Overnight stay is scheduled at Jaipur. Day - 12 : Jaipur In the morning, we visit the Amber Fort, the erstwhile capital of the state. Later you'll be hosted at the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors. You get some time to relax as our overnight stay is in Jaipur itself. Day - 13 : Jaipur-Agra We
drive off to Agra. We visit Fatehpur Sikri which falls on the same route
and is 40 kms from Agra. Fatehpur Sikri was built by Emperor Akbar in
1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the
graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti,
Panch Mahal and other palaces. The evening is at your disposal. You'll
stay overnight at hotel.Day - 14 : Agra In the morning we reach the crest of our tour that is the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul emperor Shahjehan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Later, we visit the Agra Fort, the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daullah. Our overnight stay is scheduled here. Day - 15 : Delhi As this dazzling tour comes to an end, we drive off to Delhi. Arrival in Delhi and then off for your onward journey back home. |
