Ananda Resort, Rishikesh

Located in serene mountain surroundings, the resort overlooks the river Ganga. The 100 landscaped acres it covers were once part of the Maharaja of Tehri Garhwal's palace. Today, part of the palace has been converted into areas for guest use. Ananda in the Himalayas is designed with great emphasis on aesthetics, and showcases some very fine examples of paintings, sculpture, murals etc. all over the resort.

The 21,000 square foot spa offers an extensive menu of over 79 body and beauty treatments, integrating the traditional Indian systems of Ayurveda with the more contemporary Western spa approach. The spa experience strives to achieve the ultimate harmony between the physical and the mental realms of the individual.

Restaurant
The cuisine at the resort is enriched with locally grown organic herbs and vegetables. For non- vegetarians, river fish, white meat and small quantities of lamb are served. The meals are carefully planned and beautifully presented. A typical Spa meal would be low in sodium and fat, and high in fibre and nutritional content, so as to ensure a constant release of energy. Internationally renowned chefs have specially developed this signature spa cuisine. Alcohol will be served in the resort.

Conference facilities
Ananda is also an ideal location for corporate summits, senior management retreats and conferences. There are two board rooms each of which can accommodate upto 18 people each, a Grand Ballroom which can accommodate upto 150 people in theatre style seating.
