Neemrana Fort Palace, Alwar

The Neemrana Fort Palace is considered to be the architectural jewel which dates back to 1464 AD. The fort palace was got built by Maharaja Devi Singh Ji and is located in the Alwar district of Rajasthan. It is also said to be the oldest heritage resorts of India covering about 10 hectares/25 acres. The place is said to be the home of Chauhan Rajput claiming descent from Prithvi Raj, the last Hindu emperor. The Neemrana Fort Palace Hotel is rich with ancient magnificence. The Making Of Neemrana Fort
The descendants of Prithviraj Chauhan III, defeated by Mohammad Ghauri in the battle of Tarain, found their third capital in Neemrana. Raja Rajdeo selected the venue for the fort palace of Neemrana. The village Neemrana derives its name from Nimola Meo, a brave local chieftain. After he got defeated in a battle against the Chauhans, he implored them to give his name to his lost kingdom.
