Rituals
The bugle of the marriage is blown with the Haldi( turmeric) ceremony,
where the bride and the groom are adorned with the turmeric paste. It is
said that this procress brings a special glow on the faces of both of them.
The second day starts with the Mehendi function where the hands and feet of
the bride gets decorated with the colourful hue of mehendi. Finally comes
the most crucial day-the day of marriage where the bride gets adorned with
ethnic gold ornaments. She wears the 'mundri' commonly called as tiara
hanging on her forehead. The bridal wear that she puts is not only colourful
but also extremely well designed with beads, zaris and crystals. However
most of the brides prefer bright reds, pinks, crimson and fuchsia.
The grooms with their marital built look stunning in silk sherwanis and
brightly coloured turbans. By the regular Rajasthan custom the grooms are
supposed to carry a family sword on their waistbands. The marriage is then

seven births

entertainment of the guests as well as the one's getting married. The
traditional mashaals are lit under which the folk dancers perform Bhavai,
which is the major folk form of Rajasthan. There are entertainers like: fire
eaters, snake charmers and horses and elephants.
