Kaziranga National Park is sprawled across 430 sq. kms. The swamps and
grasslands with tall thickets of elephant grass and patches of evergreen
forest make for ideal rhino habitat. Your ride through the open country of
Kaziranga on elephant back and a day's outing is sufficient to see most of
the species.

rooms in twin buildings; a private cottage that's often used as a writer's
retreat; three Assamese-style thatched lodges and even tents for those on a
tight budget. The rooms in the Jungle Lodge have attached bathrooms with hot
& cold water facilities. Tented Camp has common convenience of bathroom
and showers with modern tiles and hot & cold water facility. There is a
provision of three meals a day, which includes three meals a day.

How To Breeze In
Kaziranga is on National Highway 37 which connects Guwahati with Jorhat on
the east. Jorhat is the nearest airport, 97 kms. away. Guwahati airport is
240kms from Kohora by road via Nowgong. The nearest convenient railhead and
airport is at Jorhat. Numerous long distances buses are available from
Guwahati, Jorhat and Nowgong for road travel to the Park.
